Spam Filters
What precisely is an e-mail spam filter? How does it operate? How to activate spam filtering?
An email filter is an app that blocks unwanted emails from reaching a given inbox. An immense percentage of the email traffic around the globe consists of spam messages: offers for pills or money, false banking notifications, etc. This is why, it is really important to set up filters to avoid not only spam email messages, but also any possibility of being conned somehow. Spam filters detect different things, so as to ensure higher levels of safety – specific words and phrases or the frequency with which they appear in the text, the sender’s email address, or the IP address of the sender’s email server. Web hosting companies frequently use the services of third-party spam-monitoring organizations that offer up-to-date databases to render spam filtering better and simpler without affecting authentic email messages, even if they include suspicious words or phrases.

Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our
semi-dedicated server accounts come with top-level anti-spam protection ensured by the famous SpamAssassin filter, which ranks all inbound email messages based on a spam score in accordance with patterns and parameters, such as the frequency of specific keywords and phrases, the subject, the sender, etc. When you activate the filter for any account through the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel, you can select between 5 separate levels – from very low to very high.
