.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Set up in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the sole TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our company, you can acquire your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar company and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no specific terms on who can reserve a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the correct spelling in your local language.
